Scoot will be increasing flights to select destinations in Southeast Asia, Australia, Japan, and Korea this winter.
In anticipation of stronger demand during the Northern Winter season (October-March 2025), Scoot – Singapore Airlines' budget subsidiary – announced it will operate additional weekly flights each to Chiang Mai and Hanoi from November 2024. As a result, the airline will increase its services from 10 to 11 times weekly to Chiang Mai, and 5 to 6 times weekly to Hanoi.
To Australia, Scoot's flights to Perth will increase from 13 to 14 times weekly, and 12 to 13 times weekly to Melbourne from December 2024. Scoot will then go twice-daily to Melbourne from January 2025.
Scoot will also add three more weekly flights on its Singapore-Taipei-Seoul (Incheon) route – making it a daily service. The airline will also increase its Singapore-Taipei-Tokyo (Narita) service from 12 to 14 times weekly.
“We are happy to announce ore flights to popular destinations such as Australia, Japan, and South Korea in the Northern Winter season, to cater to higher demand especially during the holidays and festive season,” said Calvin Chan, Chief Commercial Officer, Scoot. “We will continue to seek new opportunities, remain nimble in our aircraft deployment to match demand, and provide our customers with greater convenience and enjoyable travel journeys with Scoot.”
Increased E190-E2 Flights, Suspension of Flights to Ningbo
In addition to the announced additional winter season flights, Scoot will be increasing flights operated by Embarer E190-E2 aircraft – the latest addition to its fleet. Among the destinations that will see added flights with the new aircraft include Davao (7 to 9 times weekly), and Balikpanpan and Makasssar (3 to 4 times weekly each).
Scoot also highlighted the launch of daily flights to Subang Airport – Kuala Lumpur's secondary airport – on September 1, along with the scheduled service launches to Kertajati (Greater Bandung) on September 28, and Malacca on October 23.
While adding flights, Scoot will suspend its flights to Ningbo, China with the last flight on October 26. According to the budget carrier, the move is in line with its efforts to optimize its network.
